These characteristics have placed DPS Navi Mumbai at the forefront of the educational map of India and the world.

Rightly quoted, “It is good to have an end to the journey, but it is the journey that matters, in the end.” The contribution of the DPS Society in universal educational enhancement and its endeavour to build a democratic, pluralistic and secular nation has made all the difference. It is no more a question of lighting a candle; it is an attempt at total electrification. The entire world has begun to glow with the light of literacy radiated by the Delhi Public School Society.

At DPS Navi Mumbai, it is our quest to regulate an amiable and intellectually challenging environment for our young friends. We envision to produce global citizens through shared collaboration and commitment. Our academic fraternity possess the magic of igniting a fire in the lives of others and developing an intense curiosity. I insist upon brilliance, take risks, model what I expect and empower others to enhance instructional practices. Therefore, with new projects and initiatives, students will have access to more resources and opportunities than ever before. The aim behind all our endeavours at DPS, Nerul is to teach our students to self-propel through difficulties and challenges that come their way. The Senior Wing of DPS, Nerul attempts the development of our young minds into well integrated wholesome personalities through conscious, continuous and comprehensive monitoring and mentorship. Creativity and sensitivity are also nurtured and emphasis is laid on “learning by doing”, on experimentation, innovation and free-sharing of ideas. We live in a world that is so very different from the one we grew up in and the one we were educated in. The world today is changing at such an accelerated rate that we, as educators, need to pause and reflect on the entire system. Are our schools well equipped to prepare our children to face the challenges that the future holds? Are we doing well enough to create not just ‘job-seekers’ but ‘job-creators’? Questions such as these are what motivate us to go through a continuous process of reflection to ensure that the children who walk into the portals of the Primary and Middle Wings will not just love their school years but be truly prepared to face life’s challenges.

It was Margaret Mead who said that children must be taught how to think and not what to think. The Primary Wing functions along this principle. Our mission is to instil in our students independence of thought, integrity and values. All our activities and enterprises are designed to give our students the best platforms for both intellectual and emotional growth.

A well-polished set of soft skills play a very important role in the success of an individual. For ages, educators have had their undivided attention to the honing of occupational skills. But, we live in unprecedented times making it necessary to devise action plans and goals that cater to the needs of the learners of the 21st century. In the Middle Wing, besides rigorous scholastic programmes, we seek to develop and nurture the different facets of a child. We encourage all students to participate in a host of curricular and co-curricular activities-from art, dance, drama and public speaking to a variety of sports and games.
